While I was busy making the pot, Kalem asked if he could have a go too. Now I normally so NO as I work with glass and in my experience glass and children do not mix well!!!! Anyway he was very insistent and I thought why not, so I gave him a collection of pieces of glass that had already been either cut of broken and he got to work.
He really enjoyed himself and here is his finished item. It is a skull and cross bone (boys will be boys and all that..), you may need to use your imagination a little bit, but if you look carefully you can definitely make it out. Not bad for a first attempt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Of course now Talia wants to have a go, but I think I may need to put her off for a wee while yet.....

Thanks so much for your comment on my post re leaving. I know that they will love it and I am just keeping that picture of them on the beach in my head to get me through, but like you say it just breaks my heart to see Maia upset, and because of something we've decided! Oh the joy of being a parent. Lots of things recently have really made me feel for her and I guess that's a new stage we're entering and you just have to learn to deal with it. Cheers xxxx
Fabulous!
