Today they chose sewing as their craft activity. Now my actual plan here was that while they were doing their sewing I would do mine..... yeah right!!! Of course I had forgotten that they would need me to re-thread the needle every 30 seconds...no exaggeration! It was fun though watching them work, Talia was making a spider web and just went for it, while Kalem who is sewing a picture of a car, took his time and made lovely neat little stitches. Talia lost interest after a while, but Kalem seemed to be really enjoying himself. I love this photo of them both concentrating on the job.....
Talia's completed spider web with added green bead for sparkle effect...... Kalem's piece is a work in progress so will post a photo when it is finished.
After lunch we got out the sidewalk chalks and the kids went to town on the concrete, kept them busy for hours.....
A great day and best of all hardly any bickering, oh happy days, long may they last.....

Lovely pics. I had a great 9.5 week summer holiday with the kids. Then they went back to school and one of them has had a right attitude! You would have loved to have been a fly on the wall on Sunday. Read my Sunday blog - it puts a big gloss on it - it was a crap day! Keep the good work up. I am getting to the stage where I will need to take some painkillers for my sore throat from shouting! Watching a programme by Griff Rhys Jones about anger - oh dear think I could do with a bit of that managment of it!!!! Is it sunny? We have had lovely sun for a few days and are due drizzle tomorrow - can you remember how pants that is! DRIZZLE! yuk! Love Emma xxxxxx
How cute are your children?? How good are you having all that craft stuff! Gee you must be a patient woman.

Well the first 2 days look like fun - and good weather too! Lets hope it lasts for you. The pavement chalk looks great I haven't seen that before but I know my two would love a go! x
Do you mean Charlie and Lola dominoes? How fab. I dont have any fuzzy felts - boo hiss. Sounds great though. Something that I did for my girls birthdays last year was painted an old thrifted trolley and then bought some old pretty china. I cant knit to save my life but I bought some knitted fairy cakes on ebay. I did a sign for a cafe. They loved playing cafes. In fact I might blog it all as it would be good to record for my diary. I also did my oldest one a bit of a beauty trolley - hair bobbles, bit of nail varnish and pale, pale pink eye shadow etc. They seemed to be very pleased with it - including Jasper! Love Emma x
