Kalem has always had longish hair, when he was really little he had the most amazing long curly
blond locks. We thought it was adorable, other people seemed to think that it made him look like a girl. This used to drive my parents crazy and I know that they struggled often with the desire to get out the scissors and cut it off when I wasn't around. Luckily they never gave into those demon urges. Anyway,
kalem has been wanting his hair cut short for a few weeks now and at the weekend Julian took him to the hairdresser. This is the cool little dude that came home to me...............
Errrr... and this is how he wants to wear it to school!

Apparently I now have to go and buy him some '
product' (
????) to make it spiky. I have caught him looking in the mirror a couple of times since the cut, which is hysterical as he has never shown any interest in what he looks like before.
Does this mean my little man is growing up? While we were out yesterday a couple of little girls waved at him and I nudged him to say that it was probably due to his cool hair. He just shrugged and told me that the
hairdresser had warned him that could happen......................okay then! X

Oh flipping heck this is the third attempt at leaving a message!
Your son makes me laugh - my son only wants flat hair. I will know he is truly growing up when he wants spiky hair - I have noticed it is a rite of passage.
I have the brilliant Gillian Harris felt book. I did one of her courses it was great. I have blogged some earrings today and they are resting on the bag I made coincidently. I think I will do a blog her.
I will also do the meme thingy when I get chance. Just need to think about it a bit. Thanks for tagging me - a great honour!
Love Emma x
I can't get over the difference between the two photos of Kalen - one at Lollipops and then one with his new 'do! My youngest nephew was like this with his hair and I have to say all the gunk and c!*p he put in it started at about the same age Kalem is now. Sometimes his hair would be like cardboard but he thought it was sooooo cool and also looked in the mirror constantly!!! I guess it's the start of a very long prcoess of growing up - good luck with it!!! xx PS You could always imagine up an imaginary friend of your own now lol!
:lol what a cutie! that made me laugh!
